Highlights of the June 28 & 29, 1997 show at the Orange Airport


The Brown Steam Engine
The C.H.Brown steam engine was built in Fitchburg in 1909/10.
It developed 125 horsepower with a 13" bore and a 34" stroke.
It weighs 12 tons and has an 8 foot diameter flywheel. It was
used to power the Smith & Day Co. and the Bourn, Hadley and
Fairbanks Mfg. located on Mill Street in Baldwinville, MA.
It last ran in 1949.

One of the most popular displays was Lowell Patch's Chase Shingle Mill,
powered by Gene Tencza's 1940 John Deere Model B Tractor

Stuart Sherman shined up his Number 51 plow by pulling it through the sand with his beautifully restored Unstyled Model B.
