The Brown Steam Engine
The C.H.Brown steam engine was built in Fitchburg in 1909/10. It developed 125 horsepower with a 13" bore and a 34" stroke. It weighs 12 tons and has an 8 foot diameter flywheel. It was used to power the Smith & Day Co. and the Bourn, Hadley and Fairbanks Mfg., located on Mill Street in Baldwinville, MA. It last ran in 1949

Our entertainment this year was an operating Wurlitzer Merry-Go-round machine
Howard Goren had his roller under steam.

Charlie Kellogg shined up the Number 52 plow by pulling it through the sand with his Unstyled Model B.
Alden Piper gave plowing a try, too
